Front Assist

Hey guys
Has anyone got front assist on B8? Not sure if it's standard on B8. I have front assist on my golf and would like to know if it's working fine. Basically nothing happens even if system is turned on. I don't get any warnings on mfd and doesn't matter how close I get to car in front, it's quite.
Any help would be appreciated.
