Hazard light don't work

Hi There...

My hazard lights have stopped working...
No idea what it is... the indicators work, but when I press the harzard light... nothing appears on my dashboard, the repeaters don't flash and the little light behind the hazard light cuts out and the orange one doesn't come on behind it.
I've checked the hazard fuse......ok
I,ve checked the indicator fuse...ok
I've purchased another hazard switch... Still hazards don't work, But the new hazard switch works ok in a friends passat ! (so switch is fine )
When the side lights are on, the switch glows red(as it should, normal), but when hazards are switched on the red light goes out !
All wires into the back of switch are fine etc,etc ,
All other electrics are working fine, no problems at all........
HELP HELP PLEASE !!
