Timing belt replacement 140bhp advice please

Hi, loving my 96k B7 140- to be on the safe side getting timing belt and water pump replaced with annual service by my friend who is an experienced mechanic (but never worked for a vw franchise). My query is when I phoned round some of the independent vw garages one said the 'tensioning of the bolts are critical' on doing this job. A quick google suggests that on an older PD engine this is true but I'm assuming my Nov 2011 model has the CR engine??

Has anyone replaced their timing belt on a B7 140TD ? If so do you have any tips or pointers to pass on (especially re bolt tensions if applicable)
