1.8 tsi estate

Hi there.
Just recently joined as I'm thinking of buying a b7 estate in 1.8tsi se guise as the new family wagon with a baby due in under 5 weeks.
These seem pretty rare as I can't really see any others about.
The missus always has has vw's in recent years but last two have been polo and golf diesels but we've had terrible dpf problems with both, because I think, our journey to work is only about 5/6 miles one way with the odd longer journey to visit my parents 40 miles away, so she prefers petrol and we thought would be less problems
Anyone any experience of these or this engine?
