17" OR 18" Wheels

I have recently bought a 2004 Passat 1.9tdi 4Motion Estate.
Want to change the standard 16" Road America wheels for something with a bit more wow factor.
Was thing 18" Audi S-Line wheels. The ones that are similar to fat fives.
What size tyres would I need to use to maintain original rolling radius and will A6 or A4 ones just fit straight on?
