B7 - any good?

Own a b5.5, was thinking of getting a b6 but heard all the horror stories of reliability.
Is the b7 any good? Saw a nice 2012 blue motion for sale, which wouldn't mind buying it as I need an estate for Mr Pooch
Do these have common problems as such?
Regarding dpf, are they silly money to replace as I heard they don't last long, would they last any longer in a bluemotion?
