B5 Clutch Pedal High biting point 1.8t APU

Hi. my Passat is a 1.8t 189000 miles
Since I've had the car (18 months) the clutch pedal is extremely high, like literally right at the top of the pedal push.
I have got used to this and it hasn't once slipped and still engages gear fine.
We have bought a golf mk4 tdi recently and the clutch for that is really low down ! so switching between cars It's really noticeable how high the passat one is.
Just wondering if anyone else has an extremely high biting point or am I just kidding myself and need to buy a new clutch kit & DMF which would cost more than the cars worth..
Any advice is greatly received
