Adding a sub/amp?

Im wondering if it possible to add a sub and amp to the passats existing audio setup?
Ordinarily I wouldnt bother but ive got a brand new sub/amp just lying about and itd be great to get some use iut if it
has anyone tried this and if so what was the method involved?
