Cranks but won't start.

So this morning plan was to continue to find the water leak. However ...
It turns over and over but won't fire into life.
Then the dash tells me to "stop" in large red font and oil light comes on (there is oil in the engine I checked)
I have no idea where to begin. It's a petrol 2.0 if that makes any difference?
