RNS 315 more questions

I take delivery of a B7 on Saturday. The car is a 2013 with rns315. The 315 is a bluetooth/dab version and from memory has an sd slot and a usb connector in the glovebox along with ipod connection. Seems quite comprehensive. We will see.
However, what I cannot work out (and I promise I have searched here and elsewhere) - is it better to use a usb pendrive or the sd card for music. And whatever choice, is there an upper limit. My research suggests an SDHC card with no more than 32Gb is best. Is that right?
Many thanks in advance. Looking foreward to the new (to me) car. Upgrading from a B6. The B7 certainly seemed better equipped than the B6 (but not as luxurious as my old B5.5 but the B6 was far worse than the B5.5).
