Can you still buy brand new 1.8T engines?

I dont need one, just wondering if these can still be bought if ever needed at all, i personally aint for this buying engines from a scrapper or ebay as you dont know what your buying into, But just wondered if anyone in the know-how on this could enlighten me a little?
