help with buying a 130 HIGHLINE 5 speed?????

Hi,
I'm looking at buying a PD 130 passat with the 5 speed 96 KW engine.
My question is how come the Highline 130 bhp only have the 5 speed gear box and the 130pd sport have the 6 speed box with the same engine?
Do they perform the same and return the same economy? Is there any pro's or cons to either engine with either gearbox? I'm not sure what to do as i like having a six speed box but the highline is well specced and is a lovely car.
Any help or advice appreciated
