Well this is embarassing...

I know the engines dont like it but, as i had one lying about... thought i would try it, but either i have a serious lack of vac or i dont have enough boost to open the secondary piston... 
As it does nothing, it blocks it off and im left with compressor surge.
Any body else had this problem? Im convinced i dont get good vac, my boost gauge doesn't suck right down in over run, its 1-2 notches from total vac. my stock valve is fine but then thats light as a feather to open. Even under full boost this valve wont open?? Works fine if i suck on the nipple and stick my finger in the flange to push the secondary piston open
