It might seem a bit of an odd question but what is the point in the 20v turbo engine?
I mean, comparing it to other engines, for example the ABF 16v golf engine, which is also 150bhp, and has better economy ... Why did VW make a 20v engine which is turbo charged that uses more fuel and gives the same power?
What is the point in 20 valves? What does it do for me that 16 valves cant? And why turbo it, as im sure that engine could have made 150bhp without a turbo ... ??
Dont get me wrong, i love my car... but every time i drive it this question arrises... My GT Four had almost identical economy, and 270bhp... I feel a bit screwed over here
