'Turbo's fixed!!

It's been a while since i've been on here but thought i'd share my news. I was convinced all was not well with my 20v T, and fitting a boost gauge confirmed that the turbo wasn't working. So anyway. long story short, the wastegate flap had liberated and destroyed the cat box, partially blocking it, and dissapeared off the face of the planet. My mate who's a mechanic amazingly found an extra thick washer that fitted perfectly, and i supplied a superstrong nut and bolt from an aircraft jet engine, so now i'm getting about 0.5 bar (or psi 
) flat out! I don't know if that's it's full potential, but it's better than buying a new turbo! And with the cat unblocked the car runs a million times better, even if the exhaust does sound rattly
