Passat - santana - whats the difference???

Does anyone know/can confirm???

the more I'm looking, the more I'm learning..

It appears that they are pretty much the same car, wings bonnets, front doors, interior etc..

Just visual difference I can see is obviously the boot, and the grille/front bumper/lights

thats about all i can spot - does anyone know if thats it, basically is the santana just a passat saloon???

I'd love to meet up with someone with a B2 so we/I could compare - dont suppose anyone local to me, Berkshire or somewhere off the M40 - or M1 corridor I could pop in next saturday on my way up from Reading to sheffield...
