Hi all,
I've had a 2014 Alltrack DSG (177 bhp) for about a year now, car drives lovely and is pretty tidy other than a few minor issues I've been sorting out.
Main issue is I'm getting what I think is quite poor mpg, the car has both DSG and haldex so I was expecting to lose a few mpg but I'm averaging 35 mpg on the dash, struggling to get much more than 400-450 miles out of a full tank.
Is this what is to be expected on one of these, or am I looking at tracking down some sort of engine/drivetrain issue?
I've been through the usual checks of tyre pressures, rubbing calipers, alignment etc. The only symptom I've got is a bit of tapping under acceleration on very cold start mornings until the engine warms, I'm told this is symptomatic of injectors. Once warm or on any normal temp morning it's not there at all.
Obviously injectors is not a cheap fix, and I would only go this route if very confident it was going to significantly improve fuel economy.
Thanks all.
