Help! I can't get in to my passat...

Hi All,

Bit of a nightmare situation here - my old B5.5 has been parked up for a few weeks whilst I've tried to fix a few faults on it before putting it up for sale or for spares. I've gone to open the drivers door today and I *think* due to a flat battery I wasn't able to fire the lock. Having looked online it said you can manually open the lock with the key but may take *some* force, I've turned it around and I believe broken the drivers door lock barrel (it now spins 360).

So...given that I have a flat battery and central locking unlock button did not work anyway - how do I go about getting into the vehicle?

Any ideas?

To top it off, I realised just before this that the plates had been stolen too! Disaster!
