My car has been getting harder to start for a while now, most of the time it's fine but occasionally it tryst to Stations but curs out immediately and the GPL flashes, I have an iCarsoft scanner and it has the following error recorded.
Bank 1: CMP Sensor (G40) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28), Incorrect Correlation
I'm led to beleive this will be down to the timing belt that has stretched slightly,
It hasnt done a lot of miles since I had the belt replaced last time but that was around 10 years ago so I've booked it in to have the belt replaced next week anyway, any other preventative things that should be changed while it's apart, the water pump will be replaced.
Is it worth changing the sensors in case they are faulty while it's apart or are they easy to replace anyway.
