Drivers door lock motor.

I'm back in the UK for a couple of weeks but after replacing my rear nearside door lock motor with much trauam, oh fiddlesticks! me if the drivers door hasn't now failed, I assume with the same fault. And to add insult to injury, i wasn't pulling hard but the internal handle seems to have come disconnected from the cable.

If I can't persuade the central locking to open it, how much sh*t am I in when it comes to getting the door open or the door card off?
