Brake warning light reset?

Post by DuFFmAN »

Hey Guys,

I changed my discs and pads changed a couple of months ago... I did the work myself and I may have screwed it up a little.

A couple of days ago my brake warning light came on and then I started to hear a harsh grinding noise. Opened her up and I found that a bolt was missing for the caliper!! :? .. Fair enough.. I either didn't put the bolt in or it fell out?..

Anyway, I got a new bolt and got it sorted. The car drives fine now. All the sensors are connected in and everything looks all good!

However, the brake light is still on. I have no idea why!?!?... Is there anyway I can reset this? I remember my old Primera where I could reset the ECU by bridging two wires. Is it as simple on the Passat or is it a dealer job? I also need to reset the service light mind you as it still "wants" a service! lol.

Any help/feedback appreciated! 8)
