House Front Door Lock Help

Bit strange but anyone on here has any doings with locks ???

My front door constantly locks me out, especially when I forget my keys.







I can only open the latch with the key from outside, not the handle.

Is there anyway that this could be changed ???

It has the lift handle to double lock.

All the outside handle does is allow the double lock to be engaged and disengaged.
