Happened on 1 too many occasions now. When pressing my break pedal sometimes it will fail - by this I mean I can suddenly compress the pedal nearly 100% and breaking becomes very hard (as if I were breaking with engine off so nothing in the servo).
It has also happened mid-breaking (in one continuous break) meaning it seems fine then without lifting my foot the pedal suddenly drops to the floor (even though I was breaking normally) and I have to break hard.
A bit scary at times to say the least. Any ideas? Car is a 53 plate 1.9tdi sport...I'm unsure of engine code
