Had an 'interesting' time a few days ago. At the end of a drive the key fob wouldn't pull out of the slot in the dashboard, so I couldn't turn off the ignition.
After trying for a while I used my iPad and I searched for a solution. Lots of posts about waggling the DSG stick, steering wheel etc., but none of this really worked. In the end I did manage to get it out, but then it wouldn't go back in. There is an interlock mechanism that grips the end of the fob which prevents it being removed while you are driving.
In the end my wife had the solution, use the spare fob. That worked no problem, so its the fob not anything in the car that's at fault. But in the non-working one there's enough power to work the remote locking.
10 days warranty left so I hope the dealer will sort, although when I booked it in they said they had never heard of this problem before.
