rusty discs and uneven tyre wear
Just had my 2012 Passat 1.6 tdi bluemotion estate serviced. It has covered 36000 miles and had the 40000 service at dealers. The car is out of warranty in 2 months and they replaced a dodgy neutral switch that affected start stop function. All good so far except they are telling me and showing me with nifty video they send you that the disc brakes are rusty and corroded on edge and face. This is apparently down to my driving (I use brakes to slow down or stop, please correct me if I've got that wrong) totally accept wear on brakes but corrosion must be a fault, the pads are rusty and pitted must be originals with only 36000 I got car at 16000. Also uneven tyre wear on inside of tyres front and rear. I had this on my previous B6 estate 2008 model. Anyone experiencing similar.
