The passat I just bought idles and runs fine and pokey below 2.5k but it seems to struggle a bit after then. I first though it may be the usual Maf but unplugged that and it was even slower .Plugged it into a code reader and nothing stored and Maf was giving out good readings & I changed the air filter as the one in it was terrible but that has made no difference..
could it be EGR , how do you tell if they are faulty ??? I may just block it off anyway.
had a quick scan of vacuum pipes but cannot see anything untoward but haven't done a pressure test yet .
any ideas folks ???????
