Are you a saloon or estate?
I had a micro switch go on my old estate (leaky rear wash pipe) rear interior light would flicker on, but more hastle was the rear load door
open warning kept coming up on the dash, not too bad when the ignition is on but the same signal triggeres the alarm when the car is locked.
You will have to remove the lock to replace the micro switch, if you have an estate then you can remove the tailgate trim panel and pull the spade conector off the switch that will stop alarms and the like, the lock will still work fine.
Not sure if this is the same for saloon.
