Outer ring tail light intermittant

Hi, I am having an issue with my offside tail light where sometimes it works fine and other the outer ring won't illuminate.
After playing today I found that it does come on for 2-3seconds and then goes out as tho something is tripping it out but not sure what's inside the cluster.

Any help and advice most welcome
