pleas help need some advice
I own a 2000 passat 18 20v none turbo and for last few weeks when I start it the rpms arw up and down very eratic and sometimes causes the car to stall. I was told if I unplug maf air sensor and if it runs ok its the sensor that needs replacing so when I unplugged it it ran fine so I purchased a brand new one and fitted it and its no better but if I unplug again it idles normal. So could do with some advice cause I truly havent a clue im new to all this.
If this helps when i wobble the air pipe what goes from air box to throttle body i can hear a hissing
