my 11 plate Passat 2.0 BMT has an unpleasant grating, unsmooth feeling when the clutch pedal is moving which is more noticeable when the natural engine vibrations are more prominent. This is not a vibration, it is like the old cable clutches when they were unwinding in the outer sheath.
I took the car back and they replaces the flywheel, clutch and everything internally, as well as the master cylinder. It has also had new brake fluid.
it is only felt when the pedal is moving and is not pulsing like when you have a deformed clutch plate. I can feel the natural vibrations as normal, but this is on top of that. The clutch pedal feels totally perfect and silking smooth when the car is out of gear and switched off. This points away from the pedal, but is there anything that could exsentuate the natural engine vibrations, and add this graunchy fealing when the engine is on and the fluid under pressure?
I had an 08 plate before and at 108,000 miles was perfect. I also have a golf GTD which had always had more vibration though the pedal, but it always moves smoothly. Help please.
