After a year and a bit of not owning my own car I have bought a b5.5 passat to mess about with as I miss the tinkering. It's a 2003 1.9 tdi 130 with 206k miles and I got it cheap as it's in need of a gearbox. Drives well apart from the whine, pulls good so can't complain. It's not mint condition by any means but it's good enough for now.
I have started on the inside tonight and stripped most of it out as the carpet was wet in the driver side and wanted to check it all and let it dry out.
It's coming from the drivers side front and rear doors so I have removed the door cards ready for sealing them.
Passenger side is nice and dry luckily
Also removed the egr valve as I'm getting one made up from a mate of mine.

Also got this removed aswell, there always fitted really badly!
That's as far as I've got till now but will try to update as much as I can over the next few weeks.
Things I will be doing in the near future
Gearbox flywheel and clutch, timing belt water pump and service etc
Change interior
Rusty wings fixed
suspension and wheels
