Drivers Door not able to open from outside

Hopefully someone will be able to assist me and offer some guidance.

I press the unlock button twice on the remote and the car unlocks, but the drivers door handle appears to still be locked. I can open it from the inside, but as you can imagine this is sometimes very tough in a busy carpark.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
