1z surging at full throttle SORTED!

B4 estate with 1z (my mate's car, not mine) is surging - throttle flat to the floor feels like it's being released and put back down 2 or 3 times a second.

His Also feels like it needs the throttle pedal pushing further down for the same effect mine has - overall performance seems similar... Mine's had a golf engine fitted in the past though, so perhaps not the best reference!

I wonder about throttle position sensor and pump timing ...

It's been doing this for a while. The fuel filter was fitted just under a year ago, temp senders have both been changed, recent thermostat/coolant change, oil/filter every 6 months.

So... Any ideas what I should be looking for?
