Tunning the 1.6TD engine

Has anyone tuned the 1.6TDI engine.

I've driven mine a while now and it is more than capable when you get the revs right and dont rev it to hard between changes. It can move along briskly and is fine for 95% of the time. But then sometimes your already on 50% throttle and wish more, but pushing Acc to the floor sees no more responce.

So apart from "you should have got a 2.0L" has anyone fitted a tuning box and what were the results. I would like to fit one. Not looking for huge gains. Just for more flexable and possibly another 20hp and loads more torque

once fitted what did it do the the mpg. Not what is says on display, but by using the brim to brim method for working out mpg, did it improve the mpg?
