RCD 510?

I should be picking up and RCD 510 this week. With that in mind I went to my local VW dealer and asked to speak to a tech guy about whether i'd need to upgrade the Can gateway. According to him I won't but I will have to check that only 1 power connector is connected otherwise I will experience battery drain.

Is this correct?
