rear brake calipers

hi can anyone tell me how to fit rear brake caliper on my b6 sport it will be a complete new unit , so can i just swap them over without the need for any diagnostic tools once fitted, just got stung by local independant for £400 for one side he said other caliper on way out as well total bill would have been sky high told him to put it back together but he said too dangerous to let it go out , its the epb type caliper, thanks in advance.
