what b5 to start off with????

hi every1.
Im gunna be looking at gettin a b5 in the summer once i have my b4 ship shape. There are loads to choose from and im wondering which model would suit my needs the most. its got to be a wagon for starters, i need to be able to play with the engine and boost the bhp. id like 6 speed or an engine that will take 6 speed. trim level is not important but i wud look for something that had trip computer already. finally it will be used daily so i dont want summat thats gunna break.
