electric handbrake.

hi just reading through all the forum chat and probs associated with the b6 passat electronic handbrake and i cant believe the trouble this handbrake is causing us passat owners.when i bought my car 3yrs ago i was warned about this issue but thinking of vw as a quality brand i didnt realise it would have still been an ongoing problem. theres no doubt my vw is a quality car but for me reliability is now not what it once was for vw.right ok every car breaks down occasionally but to repair or replace these components is very expensive. then there was the issue with the recent injector modifications , luckily mine was recalled and repaired free of charge, some owners were not so fortunate, for me now im wondering if its now time to get rid of my b6 before i have any nasty repair bills my intention was to keep it until it "died " but im not so sure now . my last car a mondeo lasted 11 years ok it did break down but it wasnt so expensive to repair and for mine there never was an issue with the fuel injectors, or electric handbrake. im proud to be a vw owner ,always wanted one , not so sure if i will have another though.
