AEB Tuning on 1.8T

Hi guys,

Been looking around here for a while on tuning for this engine and results appear to be a mixed bag. Some saying that the non-DBW engine is difficult to tune because the ECU is non-flashable, others saying it isn't a problem.

Common concensus, if applied to it not being a problem, is that a K04-14 or a GT28RS turbo is the way to go, with a remap, larger intercooler and higher flow injectors and new DV/BOV (along with the obligatory air filter upgrade)

If there is a problem tuning this engine, what is the solution? AEM ECU pigyback or APR jobbie?

Anyone had experiences of tuning this engine? what did you discover/learn and how does the car respond to tuning?
