nymphomaniac in my suspension

Overnight i have a noise like a couple giving it beans on a squeaky bed from my left front suspension. The noise, a squeaking and groaning, comes in both vertical movement and slow turns. I know wishbones are a weakness, is this a symptom of failing wishbones (how do they fail?) or could it be something else?

I need the car for Hols so ideas most welcome.
