Help!!! Help !!!!

Hello i was driving today and i have noticed two other faults i have parked on a steep sloap facing down and when i started the engine it reved like cracy and it was at 1100-1200 RPM constantly does anyone know what that might be and also the car has been fine but after a 15 minute jurney my temp went right down to zero noot good i hope this isint a big fault as ive only just got the car and only rove it for 5 days

One thing i can say guys is that you lot are very helpfull and know what you are on about ive been a member of a few forums previously owning a polo and a mondeo TDCI none of those forums are as good soo keep the good work up

I just hope i can sort it all out
