Uprated headlight loom for b3

Evening all, after a lot of night time driving recently, I have realised the lights on my B3 are dismal, and frankly pretty dangerous. Now I was going to uprate the bulbs, but after a bit of searching it seems I need to replace the loom to get the best results. Is it possible to buy this loom kit anywhere? I have read the how to but it looks a bit complicated. When I have fitted the new loom, what bulbs can I use? 100w? HID? And what type of bulbs do I have in my B3?
