Since weve had the pd130 b5.5 estate its always dropped a little coolant when in use (no loss when standing). Always kept topped up aside from recently when I've not looked at it since November.
Anyhooo, today I get the "STOP check coolant" (or equivalent) message on the dash. No coolant in the tank at all, having just done a 20 mile drive and then popping out again to get the message. So I topped it back to min as thats all the pre mix I had in the car. Goto town and back, then get in to go pick up the littleun and its got the coolant warning again.
Where are the common places for the coolant to leak? Its not been steaming along from the exhaust. There is no mayo in the oil. I cant see any obvious leaks but its hard at the moment as the ground is wet anyway :s Could it be the water pump seal has failed?
Will have a better look in the daylight but wanted to know if there was any obvious place to start.
oh the carpets arent wet so I'm ruling out the matrix.
