Will 15" B5 wheels fit on a B5.5?

Will 15" B5 wheels fit on a B5.5?

I know this might sound stupid but would 6x15 steel wheels off a B5 fit on a B5.5 1.8T Sport estate which originally came with 7x16 alloys? I know the PCD is the same and I'm assuming the centre bore is but I thought there may be some brake clearance issue I'm missing? Also, would a 155 or 165/80 tyre fit on for a stretched look? Any help is much appreciated,
