According to milltek there Passat system will only fit on a post 2000 model or later (b5.5) for the 1.8T.
Has anybody had any experience with fitting this system to a B5 1.8T Passat as i have checked the part numbers for the B5.5 and B5 1.8T and from the down pipe back, they are both the same numbers. The only difference is in the cat as the B5 has a single lambda and the B5.5 has the before and after lambda. I would assume that the hangers are the same as the B5.5 was a face lift with no changes to the floor pan.
My flexi joint is on its last legs and I was hoping to source something off the shelf to fit.
Having a look at the Milltek site again the demo Passat was a B5.5 so i would assume they never looked at the B5 to see if it was the same.
Jetex has a system but it fits to the pipe with the flexi joint and not to the cat 3 bolt flange, which means i would still have to get a VAG flexi pipe.
After pricing up the two options the Milltek and the Jetex system with the new VAG flexi pipe are with in £10 of one another at @ £385.
