TDI Acting weird !?

Can anyone give me some ideas on this one?


Have a 2000 tdi 110bhp avg engine ...133,000


Only things done recently are put a apiro air filter on (had induction kit on prev which was apexi) and also fitted a boost gauge , the seal seems fine on this where we put it ...



Driving out today on motorway , car feels fine up until about 2800 revs , then seems to hit a brick wall at 2800 till 3200 approx , then goes like stink again ....? ...ive run it at 6000rpm in 3rd for a while to see if it needs clearing out , i think i will also add some cleaner also , but anyone got any clues what this could be ? ....would the maf do this....


does the extra pipe you have to feed into the filter make any difference as im not convinced that was a good fit in the hole i made into the filter ? ...
