Hi, grrrrrreat forum!
Been after a Passat for a while and finally looking like a B5 2.8 V6. A few questions though:
Just wondering whether to go for a 'normal' one or the 4motion version? I'm thinking the 4WD will give better road holding? Does it affect straight-line performance? Is it worth the extra money that it seems you have to pay over a FWD? More things to worry about from a servicing point of view? More thirsty than a FWD? Finally, can you switch between 4 and 2WD?
Look forward to any ideas on this and any other things that might put me off a 2.8 (apart from MPG). Thanks.
