Retrofit heated seats to a B6 estate

I have just bought a 2007 PD Estate with basic cloth seats. I already have a dead 2008 common rail Passat estate with leather heated seats but a wrecked engine. The plan is to break the 2008 car and to move the leather seats across to the 2007 car. I know that the seats will physically fit, but what is required to get the heated seats working - apart obviously from also moving the seat control switches ?
