Door drop issue

Here’s one I hope someone can answer….

My 2010 B6 has a very slight drop in the drivers door when opening/closing.
From previous cars I assumed the door pin or hinge was beginning to go but not worth worrying about yet as I couldn’t get any movement at all trying to lift the door from the handle side.

Noticed the other day that it seemed to drop slightly and clunk on closing so opened it and presto, slight movement.
Opened a bit more to see if hinge/pin or other and it was solid, no play whatsoever!!
Have found that if the door is open more than about 3 to 4 inches then it’s perfect, solid and there’s no apparent issue.
Close it to within that tight gap and I have the movement back again.

Can anyone point to which part of the hinges would cause this as it’s too far closed to be able to see when I get the play to move it.
