Should you add 'AdBlue' to a 2007 Passat B6 2.0 TDI

I have a Passat 2007 B6 2.0 TDI which is having a new in tank fuel pump and sender unit fitted at a VW dealer. They are cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and refilling with new diesel fuel. Now when I asked the manager about whether to use any diesel fuel additive like FORTE, he said not to worry about that as they put AdBlue into the system i.e. with the diesel fuel.
Now my car does not have a 'AdBlue' filler tank and I thought that you could not add this to the diesel fuel for my age of car, who is right?
